Turn A Blanket Into A Jacket

Description

Transform a family quilt, favorite blanket, moving blanket or thrifted find into a reversible jacket with pockets. You’ll adjust the pattern for a more personalized fit while learning how to cut and assemble quilted material, add binding, construct pockets, and sew through multiple thick layers using an industrial sewing machine. The result is a functional, one-of-a-kind jacket with a story built into it.

 Intermediate — Participants must complete Intro to Industrial Sewing 100 or the one-hour Industrial Sewing Primer before taking this class.
