No. Public Thread Lab is designed for a range of experience levels. Some members are experienced makers, artists, or sewists. Others are just beginning.
Can I take classes without being a member?

Yes. Non-members can still take classes and attend many events. Members receive added benefits, discounts, early access, and other perks depending on their level.
What is Open Studio?

Open Studio gives members access to shared tools, workspace, and a supportive environment for working on projects.
What are material credits?

Material credits help members access select reclaimed, surplus, or available materials through the Lab. Credits are designed to encourage making while keeping useful materials in circulation.
